Why it's different

It never uses the Decimate modifier's algorithms.

Most Blender LOD add-ons lean on the Decimate modifier. SimplyFive doesn't touch it^* — it relies on the meshoptimizer algorithms instead, which preserve normals and UV unwrapping far better while they reduce geometry. Quality comparable to well-known commercial tools, it's fast, and everything runs locally: no internet connection, no questionable licenses like the ones similar products ship with.
